Storm Dave - Easter Weekend

Storm Dave – Easter Weekend 2026

Important Safety Advice for Tenants and Residents - What You Can Do to Stay Safe:

We are asking all tenants and residents to take a few precautionary steps in advance of the storm:

• Secure all loose outdoor items
This includes trampolines, garden furniture, plant pots, parasols, and any other items that could be blown over or picked up by strong winds. These can become dangerous if not anchored or moved indoors.

 • Check bin storage
Please secure your bins or return them to their designated bin store to prevent them from being blown over or blocking pathways and roads.

 • Avoid parking near trees or unstable structures
If possible, park your vehicle in a safe, open area away from trees, fencing, scaffolding, or loose materials that could fall or shift in high winds.

 • Secure windows and doors
Please ensure windows and external doors are fully closed and locked, especially sheds and garages.

 • Check on vulnerable neighbours
If you’re able to, check in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may need assistance in preparing.

What We Are Doing:
Our teams are on standby and will be monitoring the situation. We will prioritise emergency and urgent repairs caused by the storm, particularly where there is risk to health, safety, or property condition.

Reporting Issues:
If you spot any damage to our buildings, trees, or communal areas – or if you need to report a repair due to the storm – please get in touch:

 Call 01475 807000 or 807001

Log an issue via our tenant portal: https://my.oaktreeha.org.uk (non-emergencies only)

Our repairs service may be affected due to an increase in calls being received.  This could affect contractor response times for visits that have been arranged with you.

We appreciate your support and vigilance as we prepare for Storm Dave. By taking these small steps, we can all help reduce the risk of injury or damage.

If you have any concerns or need advice, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
