Spring is now underway, and with rising temperatures we are seeing increased growth across all green areas. As a result, we’ve been able to begin our summer landscaping programme earlier than usual.
Our landscaping team has started cutting selected open spaces. However, some areas remain too soft and wet for larger machinery, so work will continue gradually as conditions improve. We have also begun applying herbicide to hard standings and pathways to control weed growth. The herbicide used at Oak Tree is safe for both people and pets and becomes effective within approximately 30 minutes.
Over the coming weeks, we will begin cutting in back court areas and we kindly ask all pet owners to ensure that both front and back gardens are kept clear of dog fouling.
Information on the health impacts of dog fouling can be found on our website /data/Dog_Fouling__The_Impact_2025_07_17_13_00_31_538.pdf
As we move into drier weather, a two-week rolling “area forecast programme” will be shared with you.
If you have any questions about landscaping, please feel free to speak with our team when it is safe to do so, as they may be operating machinery. For all other enquiries, please contact the office or email us at landscaping@oaktreeha.org.uk
